Recycling Soft Plastics

Sustainability at Polyprint Packaging

At Polyprint, we are committed to helping build a circular economy. We are proud to say that 100% of our flexible packaging products are fully recyclable, and we actively champion recycling initiatives across New Zealand for both businesses and households.

Commercial Recycling Solutions

As manufacturers, we take our environmental responsibility seriously. We partner with Polymer Processing Ltd to recycle our own plain, coloured, and printed LDPE soft plastic waste.

If your business generates large volumes of clean, dry soft plastics, commercial recycling could be a highly effective way to reduce your environmental footprint. Please reach out to our team—we would be happy to discuss this process and provide the right contact information to help you get started.

How to Recycle Your Soft Plastics at Home:

If it’s made of plastic and can be easily scrunched into a ball, it can likely be recycled!

Collect: Gather your soft plastic packaging. This includes bread bags, frozen food bags, courier envelopes, shopping bags, chip bags, pasta/rice bags, toilet paper packaging, and biscuit wrappers.

Prep: Ensure all bags and wrappers are completely clean, empty, and dry.

Drop Off: Take your collected plastics to the green and white recycling bins located at participating stores, including selected Countdown, The Warehouse, New World, and Pak'nSave locations.

Keep an eye out for the soft plastic ‘Recycle at Store’ logo, which a growing number of brands are adding to their packaging to help identify recyclable items.
