Recycling Soft Plastics
We at Polyprint use Polymer Processing Ltd to recycle our plain, coloured and printed LDPE soft plastics so this may be an option for you to look into (they generally only accept large volumes and the product must be clean and dry). So what can you do to recycle your used plastics?
Start by collecting all the soft plastic packaging which you use at home, make sure the bags are clean, empty and dry, and drop them into the collection bins at participating supermarkets and other stores.
The service is not available everywhere so check if you have a drop off point on our storelocator.
Your soft plastic bags and wrappers are recycled at Future Post and Second Life Plastics.

Soft plastic packaging includes bread bags, frozen food bags, toilet paper packaging, confectionery and biscuit wrap, chip bags, pasta and rice bags, courier envelopes, shopping bags, sanitary hygiene packaging — basically anything made of plastic which can be scrunched into a ball.
As Polyprint are proud members of the Soft Plastic Recycling Scheme which is a voluntary product stewardship scheme that received accreditation by the Minister for the Environment in 2018.
All of Polyprint's products are 100% recyclable so we want to see recycling become widespread throughout New Zealand.

More and more brands are now putting our soft plastic 'recycle at store' logo on their packaging to help you know what can be recycled.
Customers can bring their used soft plastics back to store and put them in the plastic bag recycling bin. Recycle soft plastics in the green and white bins at selected Countdown, The Warehouse, New World, Pak'nSave and other participating stores.
